If there’s one phrase I always make sure to learn in any language, it’s thank you. Together with ‘Hello,‘Please’ and ‘Sorry,’ it’s easily one of the most important words to know in any language. Here’s how to say thank you in different languages!

Quick note: Although there are over 7000 languages spoken in the world today, 50 of some of the most widely spoken languages in the world are covered on this list, meaning that you’re sure to find a phrase that will be useful during your travels.

After all, what better way to express gratitude for something than to learn a simple ‘thanks‘ in the local language of the place you’re visiting…
